IXEG 737-300 Paints

The Boeing 737-300 developed for X-Plane by IXEG (available here http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_info.php/take-command-ixeg-737-classic-p-122) is in my humble opinion one of the best airliner simulations ever made for the consumer market. Just over 1100 737-300s were built and over 600 airlines have operated or leased the 737-300 since it entered service in 1988. I’ll try and fill some of the gaps in the liveries available for the aircraft, and when (if) IXEG bring out the 737-400 ……

Below is a list of repaints that I’ve produced for the aircraft. Files are available at X-Plane.org, just click on the associated link to visit the download page. Where a tail only is shown the paint is still a work in progress and no link is available – check back soon!

Just to note – I’m still learning the intricacies of the paintkit. There are a few features which are not yet included in these paints, but which will be added as I figure out how things work. What’s missing are:

  • Coloured door surrounds (currently only silver grey)
  • Wing registrations – not possible with the existing paintkit.
  • Painted cockpit window surrounds
  • Painted wing tips and flap canoes
  • Fuselage placards (eg “Cut here in Emergency” markings) other than the standard IXEG paintkit inclusions.

This page is still being built and not fully up-to-date. Until that’s resolved you can find all my repaints on X-Plane.org here https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/profile/512597-bw901/content/&type=downloads_file

Air Gabon (Gabon)

TR-LFZ flew for Air Gabon from mid 2001 until December 2003, when the aircraft overran the runway at Libreville after landing in bad weather. There were no injuries reported to anyone on board but the aircraft was declared damaged beyond repair. Place the unzipped Air Gabon folder into your IXEG liveries directory. There are not many photos of the aircraft to work from, if I find anything more detailed I’ll correct any possible discrepancies in the future.
